Many network marketers lose confidence if they fail at something.
It doesn’t take many failures to lose confidence. Sometimes only one thing and they lose it.
How to gain confidence back?
What if you didn’t lose confidence because you are just starting, how to gain confidence right from the start?
Focus on one task.
One task you control and get positive results.
If there’s one key how to gain confidence, this is it.
Start with one small task.
Don’t set big goals yet. It could be the worst thing you can do.
Someone wants to make a million buck. That’s too big. You’re not going to get your confidence back.
The first thing you should do is rebuild that confidence before you go towards the big goals.
Just focus one one small goal you can achieve and do it. Make it work.
Then set a second goal and do it.
And you just repeat this over and over and over again.
Because when you do this, you start to regain that confidence you lost along the way.
And by doing this, eventually you’re able to set and reach a bigger goal. And then a bigger one!
The way to create success is to build from one success to the next.
Many years ago I failed miserably in MLM.
I bought trainings, attended workshops, got on conference calls, called my upline and the more I studied, the more confused I became.
Eventually I had lost every bit of confidence in my ability to succeed in this business.
I thought there must be something wrong with me.
Or maybe something was left out. What if leaders just didn’t tell me everything?
I would see people get on stage who just barely joined the business while I was still at the bottom of the compensation plan.
Eventually I would even doubt that anybody I bring on board would even be able to do it!
Thoughts came to my mind like “If I’ve been in it for 12 years with no success with everything I know, how are they ever going to make it?”
I would basically start to project onto others what they would be or not be able to do.
And when you do that, guess what?
You can’t sponsor anyone because you believe it won’t work for them.
This couldn’t be more wrong.
You don’t know the other person’s sphere of influence, their skills levels, their work ethic, etc. They could be your next superstar. And I’ve now seen people I would not expect create the kind of results they created within my own downline.
So… how did I go from total failure to top leader? How to gain confidence to make things happen?
I found a mentor. Someone I trusted with my life. Someone who succeeded at what I was attempting to do.
And then, I did exactly what he told me to do.
I didn’t doubt, I didn’t do things half-way. I just did it.
The brilliant thing is he got me to focus on one task. Only one. And at the time it was how to invite prospects to review information about my business.
I focused on that skill until I master it.
And that’s when everything began for me.
