Commitment… What It Really Takes

I met Moustafa Kasim a few days ago and I immediately realized he had it… He had commitment.

Honestly and truly, if you would just have the courage to just follow your instinct for your individual lives, you would have an outrageously wonderful life. Not everybody might like what you do. Not everybody might approve of your choices. You might not always get a lot of encouragements and hand claps when you begin. But fortune will prove itself to you if you’ll be bold enough to follow your goals and not the crowd.

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe said about Commitment:

“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: That the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too.

All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way. Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has Genius, Power and Magic in it. Begin it now.”

Afraid of making a commitment?

Tim Sales said “People will follow boldness because they like following in the footsteps of a bold leader. What does it take to be bold? You must produce yourself. Let your downline see you face your fears. Let them see you make phone calls, let them see you do presentations; let them see you standing there waiting for your guests.”

I believe we should not even be afraid of making a mistake. I think a lot of the reasons people don’t step out and try new things is they already think, before they even try, about all the things that might happen if they fail.

And I think that if you knew how much potential you have, you could live without that fear of failure which would immediately set you free… to try things.

We’re people, we don’t always do everything perfectly right.

And I think that if we would stop trying to impress one another, we might be able to help one another.

Anytime you try to make any kind of progress, you can be assured that your mind will try to frighten you. That’s the way that we keep ourselves from going forward.

You were not born with the spirit of fear. You were not meant to live timid, shy, weak, wimpy, fearful, boring lives.

You were meant to be bold, courageous and strong.

Courage is not the absence of fear. But courage is rather the judgement that something else is more important that the fear itself.

I don’t want you to forget that.

“courage is the judgement that something else is more important that the fear itself.”

You’re not afraid, you’re not a coward because you feel fear. But you’re coward when you let the fear control you.

You have a choice. You can play it safe or you can seize the life you have in mind for you. What’s it going to be? Come explore what can happen when you become bold and totally align your life with commitment.
