I know you want to get to your goals as quickly as possible. But I also realize that the best time is… now.
I remember when I was a kid, we worked the entire summer building a small cabin in the wood.
We invested countless hours each day going back and forth. We dreamed of the day we would finally sit in our cabin enjoying a good time. But you know what?
I remember the day we were done. We’re sitting in our little cabin all completed, looking at each other. It was done! We worked the entire summer but at that moment, all we could talk about were the moments through the summer that were special.
We talked about that day of rain.
The guy running after us that scared the hell out of us.
The fire that almost got out of control.
The mices that decided to make our cabin, their house.
The hammer that left two marks on my forehead.
So many crazy memories.
But once it was built… nothing. It’s done. Nothing else to talk about from that point forward.
You heard the saying “Enjoy the journey”.
Well… it’s easy to say but when you’re in the process of building your network marketing business, it’s not always enjoyable. The struggles, the over-expectations, the doubts, the lack of discipline.
But once you’re there. Once it’s all said and done. What you’ll be talking about will be those moments that made you who you are today.
Now is the time you grow, learn, make mistakes, push yourself and accomplish significant things even though sometimes they don’t seem significant.
How do you enjoy the journey?
It takes passion and talent.
Without passion, any obstacle will derail you.
But if you are passionate by what you are creating, it will carry you through the tough times.
Passion without talent can go a certain distance. There are a lot of people who are extremely passionate but are incompetent. It’s very hard to be motivated by something knowing you can’t execute properly.
It’s been my problem for years.
I dreamed of helping thousands of people around the world. But I couldn’t help myself.
I constantly doubted what I was doing was the right thing. Or if I was doing it the right way.
One day I found a mentor who really knew what he was doing. It was like my life changed overnight. It’s amazing how fast you can succeed when you align yourself with someone who knows what he is doing and actually cares about your success.
I went from doubting myself, to getting people interested in my products and business. Then, he showed me how to get people enrolled and within the next few months I recruited 76 people personally. I continued with his step-by-step training until I eventually mastered the entire formula.
Today I’m happy to say that I lead an organization that span the globe. And I’m doing it from any remote location with an internet connection.
Passion and talent go hand-in-hand.
